Brasilian environmentalist Alessandra Munduruku covers digital Vogue

One of the most renowned Indigenous Brasilian environmental activists becomes a rare cover star this month.

Alessandra Munduruku covers Vogue Brasil’s November digital issue, making her the first Indigenous model for the publication.

The cover story is pegged to Munduruku’s next destination, the United Nations Conference of the Parties on Climate Change, COP 30, which this month brings together world leaders, scientists, NGOs, and civil society in Belém to debate and plan actions against climate change.

“Our fight is for the future of our Mother Earth. We need to think about a development model that doesn’t destroy the forest, that doesn’t attack our river. There is no Planet B,” says the activist.
