First Peoples Fund offers grants for Native Artists in need

The First Peoples Fund offers the Yéigo action grant monthly to Native artists and culture bearers who are “in need of quick financial assistance for an artistic opportunity, emergency situation and/or sudden unanticipated expense related to their art practice or business.”
The grant’s name uses the word Yéigo – meaning ‘keep going’ or ‘don’t give up’ as encouragement in Diné.
The award offers up to $1,000 for individual artists and culture bearers. Applications are due by 3:00 p.m. MT on the 10th of each month.
Questions about the award can be directed to programs[@]firstpeoplesfund.org.
