Native Fashion Week Announces 2025 Participating Designers

The Southwestern Association for Indian Arts (SWAIA) Native Fashion Week announced its participating designers for the 2025 runways. This year’s show is in collaboration with the Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week (VIFW) to have designers represent Nations across the United States and Canada.
SWAIA Native Fashion Week will be held from May 7 through May 11, 2025, in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Participating designer Sage Mountainflower (Ohkay Owingeh, Taos Pueblo, Diné) said that she is looking forward to debuting the Sage Mountainflower Ta a’n di’ Collection. Taa’nde is a Tewa word for ‘Spring’ and the collection will focus on the awakening bloom of Spring.
“The SWAIA Native Fashion Week is becoming a powerful platform where you can see the emergence of our cultural narratives through fashion and it’s exciting to be among the designers who get to showcase,” said Mountainflower. “I love that this event creates a wider public appreciation for Native Fashion as high art and is essential in changing the perception of Native fashion, and bringing it to the forefront of the fashion world. It’s another way to celebrate our creativity, indigenous beauty and our resilience.
