Providence, RI to host Native Artist Professional Development Training

Turtle Island Community Capital, in collaboration with First Peoples Fund and the Rhode Island School of Design, is hosting a Native Artist Professional Development (NAPD) Training on November 21–22, 2025 in Providence, RI.

This is a free, two-day, in-person workshop that gives Native artists real-world tools and resources to grow their creative practice, strengthen business skills, and connect with other Indigenous entrepreneurs and community leaders.

Trainers will include Leslie Deer (Mvskoke Nation of Oklahoma) and David Fleming (Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe).
