Chickasaw Nation to host 13th annual Artesian Arts Festival

The Chickasaw Nation will host the 13th annual Artesian Arts Festival on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Artesian Plaza in Sulphur.

The free, public event celebrates First American art and artists, featuring a wide range of works from creators representing federally recognized tribes. Attendees can browse and purchase paintings, photography, sculpture, beadwork, textiles, basketry, pottery, jewelry, and metalwork.

In addition to visual art, the festival will offer live music, cultural dance demonstrations, family-friendly activities, face painting, and food vendors throughout the day.

Organizers say the event continues to grow in popularity, drawing more than 8,800 visitors to downtown Sulphur last year. The festival remains open to all artists from federally recognized tribes, providing a platform to showcase and support Indigenous creativity.

The event will take place at Artesian Plaza, adjacent to the Artesian Hotel and Spa.
