Native arts gallery coordinates donations amid ICE turmoil

A local gallery has become a focal point for community support and organizing during a period of heightened unrest caused by increased ICE presence, offering its space as a hub for observers, organizers, and grassroots movements, including the Indigenous Protector Movement.
All My Relations Arts, a division of the Native American Community Development Institute, said its space has been actively supporting community response efforts by coordinating donations and providing a meeting place for mutual aid. Specific donations are currently being accepted at the gallery’s Pow Wow Grounds location at 1414 E. Franklin Ave. in Minneapolis. Requested items include weather and protective gear, first aid supplies, legal observer vests, cash donations, gas masks and P100 filters, and $20 gas cards.
Community members are asked to bring food, household goods, and other general supplies to the Division of Indian Work, located at 1001 East Lake Street, Minneapolis.
The gallery expressed gratitude to individuals and organizations who have coordinated with staff and community members, as well as to volunteers and donors who have supported the ongoing response. Organizers described the outpouring of support as a reflection of collective resilience and activism within the community.
As a result of current conditions, the gallery’s upcoming exhibition has been postponed. However, staff emphasized that art remains an essential tool for building collective power and confirmed plans to resume exhibitions in the future.
Community members seeking additional support or ways to contribute can find resources through Stand With Minnesota and Native-led organizations such as the Minnesota Urban Indian Directors (MUID) organization, which are providing community care and mutual aid efforts across the state.
Gallery organizers encouraged the public to remain safe, resilient, and vigilant as community-led response efforts continue.
