Multiple Indigenous creators nominated for 2026 Juno Awards

Multiple contemporary Indigenous artist were nominated for a Juno this year. The Juno Awards are presented to Canadian singers who have earned outstanding achievement in the industry.
Artists this year were nominated for categories in and out of the Indigenous space. Seven artists were nominated outside Indigenous categories.

- Crystal Shawanda, “Blues Album of the Year” for “Sing Pretty Blues”
- PIQSIQ, “Global Music Album of the Year” for “Legends”
- Morgan Toney, “Traditional Roots Album of the Year” for “Heal The Divide”
- Canadian Chamber Choir featuring Sheryl Sewepagaham, “Classical Album of the Year (Large Ensemble)” for “Where Waters Meet”
- Aysanabee, “Alternative Album of the Year” for “Edge Of The Earth”
- SonReal & Snotty Nose Rez Kids, “Rap Sinle of the Year” for “DUMB”
Five Traditional Indigenous artists or groups were nominated for a Juno this year.

- Me & You, Manitou Mkwa Singers
- Anirniliit Suli, Piunguałaq
- Nakota Tayhunyabi, YB Nakota
Five Contemporary Indigenous artists were also nominated for group of the year.

The 55th Juno Awards will take place on March 29 at 8 p.m. ET.
