IAIA marks 10 years of Artist in Residence program with ‘Ripple Effect’ exhibition

The 10th anniversary of the Institute of American Indian’s Artist in Residence program was marked by The Ripple Effect: Reflections of the IAIA A-i-R Community. The program is meant to highlight and create legacy artist in the community. To celebrate an exhibition that is being held that spans till March 27 at the Balzer Contemporary Edge Gallery in the Robert Martin Academic Center on the IAIA campus.

“We are proud of the family of artists in our A-i-R Community,” said IAIA President Dr. Shelly C. Lowe (Navajo). “A decade of continuity and shared culture has created a web of support for students, faculty, and staff, as well as for the Santa Fe art world and the national art world.” 

With over 130 artists featured, the free and public display shows collaboration that emphasizes the experiences of the artists who have participated in the program.
